"Since it’s inception, the corruption of Hip Hop as an art form has been total and ruthless in it’s bold-faced coercion. Thankfully parts of the underground have continued using the medium for it’s original purpose; as the voice of the people in times of universal deceit." -EyeKnowHipHop

--

We live in a time of unprecedented mental and physical slavery, injustice and suffering. This is an often ignored element of the context; the pain inflicted on innocent lives from second to second is incomprehensible and so most of us, in our subconscious despair, deny the ability of change.

However, we also live in a time of mass compassion! As those of you with clear perspectives work to see the full context and thus achieve freedom both inwardly and outwardly.

Lyrically this album is a journey through a play of perspectives and an ode to searching for the Context.

The Context is an emancipated perspective; it is a sword which when wielded masterfully can destroy delusions, obliterate oppression and balance the scales of justice. A person who walks with two feet firmly in the ground of the Context sees people, power and planet for what they truly are.

This person displays great swordsmanship in the battlefield we have created all over the globe. Ultimately, when the context is realised, the only path left to walk is the path of peace.

THE CONTEXT

Are we recording..
our guidance was sometimes misguided
we would stride and strive
but could never find what was inside us
this time is... precious
I mean its fuckin special
so thank you for allowing me to reach your spirit
through beats and lyrics
with fine tuned feelings I made a tincture
I scripted a piece, but this aint a scripture
its a few thousand words to paint a picture
coz… were living in tough times
in the roads we roam, we’re statistics
like those still cherished who perished
to home made bombs and ballistics
to those transformed
we love and miss you
but this moment is new
so with a heartbeat and a sharp mind
I roam the parks and streets with a half smile
knowing if I can’t find the answer, then it’s not to be found
not in a line, saying or sound declared as profound
so I just breathe… and give thanks

thank you to gurps on production
thank you to mother, father, sisters and friends
thank you to lover, listener and others I haven’t met
thank you to the places I’ve slept and prayed and wept
thank you to the sun, the soil and the seas
to all those things responsible for me
for you… its all holy g

so what is the context?

well, let’s have a listen and see…

yeh thats it.

HAPPINESS AND PEACE

DJ Defunkt scratches:

'Hip Hop and positivity!'
'Shout world peace!' x 2
'Imagine waking up solidarity is evident!'

Verse 1:

So much that we share it all starts from the souls
so much separation but we’re part of the whole
so many of us raised to be earning pay
see there’s so much slavery in the world today
we’re seeking happiness in price tags, overt displays
while these kids who make the NIKE bags never learns to play
the hurt and pain of bondage is a curt display
of materialist ways, we slash burn and slay
but in all truth, everybody’s birthed from the Mother
therefore, everybody on earth is a brother, sister or lover
we all feel the pain by the hurt of another
see we’re fighting with our mind
and stay scheming with these demons
but with insight you’ll find
there’s no decreasing all the dreamin
these kids in copper mines still got they dreams to believe in
and these kids in Palestine still be screaming for they freedom
they say that suffering’s as certain as the seasons
well, it’s through suffering we find all our reason
if we can receive peace we relieve all this deceiving
but we need to step back and find a way for peace
happiness ain’t cheap when you’re chasing p’s
we need to stop placing blame on waylaid police
take a moment to meditate, you could change the fate
of thousands of young kids who’ve got to face grenades
or waste away, in the face of an aimless game
coz in reality all we seek is happiness and peace
love and prosperity could break all the deceit
instead of sleeping on our people, we awake them from the dream

Tupac Shakur Skit

Verse 2:

So watch your mind grow and feel you heart double in size
for those in the war zones when the trouble is nigh
we’re your family standing by you when the rubble resides
empathise with one another, see your struggle is mine
the design of self and other keeps us smothered in lines
but these boxes can’t define us we all suffer inside
see they numb us through the screens and place a buffer in minds
so if you’re like me and you know you’ve had enough of this guise
then rise up, know we can make it one step at a time
we learn quick with every test, that there’s a lesson to find
understand with every jewel that we’re blessed in disguise
work hard to work together, and the rest is a prize
we got a whole world to save and it sits on our shoulders
coz most that came before just got rich and got older
to concerned with wealth which is the root of the curse
we choose life in all its forms we're the stewards from birth
take care of the woods and rivers, all the fruits of the earth
coz harmony is whats needed, interbeing of mind
start to see that by believing that we’re free of design
we free our mind of the grind of always being reminded
that its you and me, when in truth its all we
elevate from separation thats what we call free

ARISE AS ONE

Ahh, I don’t really know what to say man…
Yo, yo, check…

Verse 1:

How do you reduce your enemy to the power of three
it’s basic mathematics, don’t take an hour to see
how the fat cat multiplies til he devours the cream
it’s division of the masses, either cower or flee
private militia’s paid off at an hourly fee
degress of corruption in the east from the prowling beast
the iron triangle, warfare? It’s a power machine
there’s no fair, no fowl, just a howling scream
innocent kids massacred by our artillery
ask hillary, ask hague, grenades and typhoons
were made to fight through
i’m thinking why choose sides man we’ll both die soon…

Hook:

See we keep marching to the drums of war
it’s dumb we don’t wonder
whose thumb that we’re under
so when I hear the thunder roar
on a cold London night, thumbs are soar
X2

Verse 2:

Like the weed and the crack I stay seated in the streets
like the weed in the crack I stay seeded in the beast
bleeding coz this grief has got me needing my beliefs more than ever
and more than ever
just like the weed in the crack I stay reachin for the sky
preaching that this systems gonna be of our demise
and realise that love is our only means to survive
coz we’re taught to horde cash but can’t afford to relate
don’t ignore the borders you’ve drawn in your brain
coz after darkness, horizon, its sun
since we’re essentially light, we’re arising as one
we’re arising as one

Hook:

See we keep marching to the drums of war
it’s dumb we don’t wonder
whose thumb that we’re under
so when I hear the thunder roar
on a cold London night, thumbs are soar
X2

Verse 3:

I stay writing, way through the slumber calls
or my numbers called coz I know this chain
bleak streets, can’t speak coz I’m choked with rage
with these coked up bankers
britain aint’ broke if you focus straight its an open cage
complete with no gates, just fences and hopeless days
and take note, stay focused, coz you know this game
this is the last days, stay fighting the beast
riots with police, bright lights blinding the streets
armed police, they stay sparking the heat
flares fire in the streets where we marching for peace
watching carcasses go hard on the street
hearts scarred, stay dark coz we’re marred by the grief
no last laugh when you dance with deceased
no, half heart in this part of the scene
no camera’s, action, depart for the green
take life in two hands hold fast and believe
we’ll, outlast this whole farce to deceive
if we’re the last left breathing we’ll blast and we’ll squeeze
police in parks, streets, bear the mark of the beast
there’s a whole world to save, we’re the masters and queens
but we march for the present coz the past is a dream
march for the present coz the past is a dream

Hook:

See we keep marching to the drums of war
it’s dumb we don’t wonder
whose thumb that we’re under
so when I hear the thunder roar
on a cold London night, thumbs are soar

Verse 1:

Welcome to the city of the east
we keep it gritty on the streets
a street sweeper for the creepers quick to tip off the police
whether you russian, triad, parliament or senate
suits are suits all-ways, all day, don’t forget it
mafioso, move dope and snow by the boat load
fields filled with no hope
hills to the low slopes
move with the finest, we on planes and subs
who claim to wage wars on drugs, but only blame the thugs
southcom on the radio, quick to pick up on the crime
coz there's pigs in the sky and pigs in disguise
saudi’s join the feast, funds for the database
so rebels in the east fire guns, instigate the raids
workers deal in robberies, grab dash and run
briefcase full of keys, money, stash and gun
currencies is no problems washing cash by tonnes
this is the triple bordered city, with no border in sight
we ship it global by the hordes if the order is right
shipping the ammunition, you need mortars to fight
see we keep the traffic moving through them free trade zones
no tariff, no fee, soon as we say go
politicians, bankers, on the same pay-roll
I only keep the richest in my click
stitch up any snitch, heads roll quick for hitches in a sitch

Charles Manson Skit

Verse 2:

Look he's gotta eat
evade beef on these hardened streets
he sparks the piece in turf wars with armed police
but he does this so his people can survive
watches mother weeping by the church steeple reaching for the sky
but even on these cold nights
nobody hears his deepest cries
he’s got a lot of stories only his scars can tell
living in these slums he’s doing half as well
as these martel-plush cartels going hard as hell
living off the drug war, its a farce as well
he keeps delivering
gets the coke, weed, kids and livers in
dead or alive or reprimanded inside
this is where demand meets supply
little kids packing that white up in a casket night
this cycle of crime it leaves him shattered inside
they ravaged his mind
to believe that he's a savage inside
and it's a matter of time before these street wars are real wars
strapped in babylon handing captains the nine
he went from a drug pusher to a grade a guerilla
lookin to the angels, I pray they forgive us
these sinner on the street straight rush for the piece, bust at police
believe its how they flush the disease
he joined the PCC to bring some justice and peace
he ranked up quickly, his flanks moved sickly
a hero of the turf war, his bank grew swiftly
now he never gets caught coz he drills the police
got that crisp white coke from the hills to the seas
college fees for his seeds in belize
it’s a mad dash for fat cash, no mans to land grabs
and keeps a bit of stash in the nasdaq
he moves with the finest, money corrupts the mindset
the wisdom is timeless

you only got one life and a life of crime will leave you lifeless

TROOPS AND COUPS

Verse 1:

Think deeper, deeper than the words on your mind
every thought process, from your nerves through your spine
judges everything, who, what’s worthy of time
see we’re programmed from our words to our lines
every actions determined by this hurdle we climb
affect our own being when we’re hurting our kind
these youts are still trappin on the curb with a nine
instead a learning the system, burning the time
its the environment, where we gotta learn to survive
if you’re willing to give time, you’re worthy of mine
TV, radio, learning our lines
they manufacture consent from the burbs to frontlines
see it’s quite intrinsic that we curse and we lie
sanskrit was born of the earth and the fire
the language of god form purged of desire
music of no religion, no church or a choir
I’m acquiring the truth, spit fire thought higher
like a choir in the booth
retired to desire like we’re wired to a noose
slow death in this city, but we’re all one and the Gaia is the proof
all I got is these lone verbs sittin on the stone curbs
we blow herbs, spitting in the code word
it’s a cold world, get your sould hurled in a cistern
the system fucked the old earth
traded in for diamonds and rings, its the gold curse
but with no purse I purchased the whole world
no debt, no sweat, just faith in provision
and I got no stake in the vision
if the proof is in the pudding, check the cake in the kitchen
mind
life is a stitch in time and wealth is relative so I’m rich in rhymes
see we forget, searching for a bevvy and cigarette
I see regrets as wanting more, even when your needs are met
that’s why we depressed
how can you be the best or concede to less
ca when everything is everything, yeh, then you can see the test
and success is planting new seeds when the weeds are dead
I see the love of power, when they free the lead
but the power of love is what’ll free the men
from the shackles of lack, so they can see again
breathe again, clean air, clean food, yeh we need room
but
this is big banks, big oil and big money sticks tanks on your rich soil
and war keeps us blind to the truth
that the troops and coups are a facade for the youth
coz the petro the k street are after the loot
path of destruction is half of the route
see its biological, who’s asking for nukes
mapping genomes keeps pastors confused
but religion is a spell that they cast on the youth
and the home stays blasted by half heart truths
see they control us with fear and consumption for use-
less things keep us closer to the truth
to one-ness with god which path do you choose
which path do you choose

Lauryn Hill Skit

Verse 2:

Brainwashed coz we choose to debate
whether corporations have the right views for today
I say it’s slavery! you still say who’s to say
I say half the world who can’t put food on their plate
but, we still strive for that new TV
LCD or HD ting, we go 3D for an empty screen
but it’s a real world out here
and do you know what your comforts cost
the young forgot, up in police states, under cops, under watch
humble, lost in privatised states that are plundered and robbed
so, what does it take to connect the chain
for every good you buy you protect the pain
there’s people getting fined for collecting rain
there’s corporations playing god, who’s next to reign
so I grab the dirt like a keepsake
watch our resources sold like the sweepstakes
straight cheapskates protected by police states
and we still fight over bandanas and post codes
debate whether it’s the piff or the homegrown
we rap about moving bars and how you hold chrome
and how you’ll spray on a brother if he rolls cold
see this corporate greed has got our souls sold
and everybody holds notes, paper weights
we got that stash saved up for a rainy day
this bait paper chase has turned us into blatant slaves
so I stay awake praying for my saving grace
because the truth is that this is our tragedy
there’s youths strapped up from tottenham to battersea
shit goes from bad to worse to rapidly
families mourn over a hearse true tragedy
so take back the system we live in
become real men with our families and women
coz this is peak times, and i feel to speak on the deep crimes
on the dead bodies washed up on sea-sides
on the slave labour they always deny
on their ak’s M4 and M9’s that’s why we fight
bright days to bleak nights, street riots to seek right
only beast can cull the heat thats released in this deep fire
we fight for love, freedom, peace
ca police in the streets protect greed in the weak
and the meek seek to inherit the weeds from their feet
under the thumbs of the state
the crumbs of the plate keep us dumb to the way
that the corporations keep a gun to the face of the public
as they straight plunder this place
that’s why I don’t run with the jakes because the status quo
the status quo is have fun for today
while tomorrows world is sold for numbers and stakes
derivatives of debt keep us lumbered in place
the thunder pounds, hunger, I’m done with disgrace
I’m a man, and that’s not one for debate
when a man sees wrong, there’s hunger for change
but
this is big banks, big oil and big money sticks tanks on your rich soil
and war keeps us blind to the truth
that the troops and coups are a facade for the youth
coz the petro the k street are after the loot
path of destruction is half of the route

People rose up, Governments froze up x 3

Verse 1:

Wise words of the man who came from a skimpy kid
said live simply, just so others can simply live
in truth we all possess desire for a change
some die without the fire, never letting the lion out the cage
my desired forte is to be rhyming on the stage
less about the ego, no desire to be felt
chose not to ignore those that be crying for our help
delusion of essentialism, riding for the wealth
when the purpose of your being is abiding in the self
how long can we keep lying, time will only tell
but time is a creation of the mind
and separation is but a relation to the stations of the time
in truth we’re interbeing, the essence of love hurts
these lessons we must learn to spurn the new present
no guessing just truth earth will rise from the ashes
like a blessing thats just birthed

Hook:

See if this whole world exists in the mustard seed
look inside, it’s not that you must succeed
but that self-empowerment is the trusted key
to walk through the door of doubt free of lust and greed
X2

Verse 2:

Test your faith at every hurdle that you pass
and keep your focus on the present instead a cursing on your past
coz infinite possibilities are lying at your call
but this maya reinforces your desire for the false
the ego is a trickster, a friend when taught
its elixir is to fix ya on a tempting course
on vengeance and not to mention force
so, when then will we enter peace
the centre piece we’ve longed for for centuries
I relentlessly feel demons tryna enter me
but I’m an angel believe that I’ma ride for for the cause
I reside in the self, I don’t write for applause
I don’t write for the cars,
I don’t resent those who fight wars for stripes and the stars
we’re all lost in this illusion
the levels of mind, body,
these levels designed to keep these rebels in grind
where we revel in disheveling each other
its time to hold truth to the light coz their lies are up
positive feedback means are lives are fucked.. a
few at the top tried to divide us up, I mean they tried their luck
making history herstory we’re rising up
hear the voice of the people no stifling us

Hook:

See if this whole world exists in the mustard seed
look inside, it’s not that you must succeed
but that self-empowerment is the trusted key
to walk through the door of doubt free of lust and greed
X2

Verse 3:

Sometimes I like to contemplate on fanning the flames
ignorance was bliss but now I manage the pain
I speak of peace only til I’m a man in a grave
I make every effort a message that I’m planning to stay
our government still sees us as a savage in chain
so they ravage and take, thinking this is their planet to raid
but I don’t panic I pray for their satanical ways
freedom is a mind state, not a mechanical play
stand in the way of oppression coz I cannot be slave
to the whim of a man, with no thing but a plan
take hold of your mind it begins with a stand
see the media still breeds deceit for the cause
so it starts with your mind take heed of your thoughts
choose not to oppress those who be screamin for me
believe in your reason, bleed for the poor
read through the seasons, these are the cures
expand your own being to the seas and shores
drop your self image and release the divorce, from reality
this is what it means to be pure
now the pain of another is your reason to roar
we remain for everyone we don’t pray for some
because the language of love is our native tongue
believe the language of love is our native tongue

Hook:

Verse 1:

Yeh,
Love its pain and its hunger, refraining from slumber
Its rage and its patience
debates and debasements
It’s wait let me explain, I swear you’re mistaken
a taste or a place or a face it’s amazing
love, its skin on skin while he feels on him
or she feels on her
its head over heels while she reveals her flirt
It’s the fire in the eyes, desire and demise
or it’s mired in the lies
and sometimes it’s higher than the truth
It’s ec-stasy when you’re placed in
recipe for a taste of amazement
sometimes you walk to the heart
or you walk to depart
chalk lines in the dirt while you talk in the park
once a bond has been forged you can’t force it apart
some
times
there’s remorse on the laugh
sometimes its smooth, then its coarse on the path
love, its the seasons and trees, its the reason for life
it’s the air that I’m heaving as I breathe on the mic
love

There’ll be like, there’ll be one more verse after this...

Verse 2:

Since I seen you meditating in that white dress
timeless essence is the presence of your high-ness
and we defy the mind
mystified by the sublime we try to find the rhymes
coz your a half of the team, a bard and a queen
pardon my daftness coz at times I can be
demeaning and lie through my teeth
but we’re kindred spirits, committed to our lyrics
and the world is gonna hear it, believe its gonna hear it
tearing up at times but you’ll always be my dearest
nearest to my heart and your smile is so endearing
you inspire me, fire in my eyes object of my desire
you retire me to peace near entirely
but maya keeps me wired when I’m flying for the higher me
but your love signs the path to provision
watch the sunrise with one mind depart from division
and sometimes the fun times are hard to envision
like when the candlelight flickers from the bright
when we can’t stand aside we bicker and we fight
but trust we’ll make it to the dawn and through the thickest of the night
trust we’ll make it to the dawn and through the thickest of the night
because that’s love
that’s love

Verse 1:

Might catch me rolling on the streets snapback and an orange
or strolling by the heath backpack, track bottoms
but I never backtrack because I’m looking to the sky
these cats besotten with the floor
I’m rotten to the core, so what I got in store
is never what you get in stores
I bless the beat wicked and bowl over the critics
and bowl over the wicket
it's that blood of a rebel how I’m setting the tone
flow incredible and never fall I’m destined to blow
keep it impeccable just know I never sever with thrones
I was born to be a king it’s inevitable
but everything beneath the sky is all equal
plants, trees, bumble bees and all people
humble to death, thats the sum of all sequels
strive to be equal we march for the sea salt
see me, six books by my bedside
but only half of them read, like how we hold fast to debt
and walk the path of regret
coz after the laughter it’s dread
I’m tryna maintain between my heart and my head
and keep my head in my heart
I guess what sets me apart
Is nothing but the part that likes to set me a part
so I depart refuse to partake and get me a craft
on the stage learning to spray I’m tryna get me a graft
like I’m my own idol, so bone idle
and I don’t wanna blow just gotta flow coz what I wrote’s so vital
pure soul gold vinyl!
up on this stage, sunny days, money pays
words
words can paint a picture, but the truth aint in the scripture
if you read between the lines you’ll see the lines aint vital
what you seen beneath the skies is your mind eyes sight pulled
yeh, thats the wool over the eyes, like a pullover disguise
pigs pull over my ride, eyes full of false pride
like two or three times, it’s an apartheid state
see the path I take, is always hindered by my melanine
cinderella story for the coloured? that’s irrelevant
heaven sent sinners, politicians be the evidence
so how I hold my grind is just to live life free
close both my eyes dreams of a seaside breeze
and opened them but keep one out for the CID’s
I’m defending our unity in gentrified communities
no sense in why we choose to be
using their food, we should refuse to be
using their utilities!
my rhymes have stayed sick since six
since I was using prit-sticks shit
heavy liquor and a spliff then I spit this shit
so witness statistics, politicians on my hit-list
my wishlist for christmas is sick but its business

Verse 3:

So listen to the heart of a lion beat
the path of a titans feet
shit is written in the stars of orion, speak it
half of my writings like a path for the righteous
the other half is grafting through the last of the night shifts
see were living like ethereal drones
and the serial codes on our clothes we're material
that’s why I look up at the stars in the heavens
and promise to walk the path til my past is a legend I,
feel the presence of Allah in the present so,
peep the wisdom from the stoics and cynics
the righteous write right rhymes If you know it then you spit it
stay grinding through the night time don’t hold back for no gimmicks
emperors got new clothes no throw back and a fitted
try a blue tie, star spangled banner in that blue sky
thats an entire planet depraved, every empire needs slaves
to pave way
for this cosmopolitan, cops stay rotten in, souls got
in this rock bottom, like it seems gods forgotten em
but this is for the bravehearts who stay hard
the way our systems based on Maynard
remain are primary, economics, false gods and profits
trust not in their logic, revenge is of the old mind
signs of the old times
but time is a sold paradigm and that aint no lie

Edward Said Skit:

Verse 1:

When we pray we reminisce on the lessons from this life
we dream for better days free of oppression and strife
they, say we are free but thats the start of the lie
to cover up the tears from my heart to my eye
and every time a bomb drops I lose a part of my mind
In sight, in seems there’s no solution to my fight
they say the 67’ borders is the future of my plight
all things to all men from the rubble of my home
and we rebuild yet again as we struggle to go on
from the bank to the strip
the tanks and the clips
eradicates the futures as they flank of the kids
and the fighter jets roar as we stifle our cries
and think, we must we face deprival for life
in this war torn torture the culture is lies
we elect a new leader but the vulture in sides
makes factions between us as he ruptures our lives
and they film us, yes we are a sight to be seen
we are proud we are strong we are knights we are queens
we are one, we are many yet we fight to be free
and this rock is my courage and my will just to be
so when I throw it I do it for those killed under me
we have days when we live free of worry from the war
and we play in the street near olive trees by the porch
but when obama campaigned some thought the axis would bend
that the campaign of jets and apaches should end
but the pain still exists on new levels it hurts
and the good inside dies as the devil reverts
and I vouch to kill settlers with the rebels and mercs

See I’ve never fired a rocket but Ive seen them explode
we play war games on the street but they’ll be real when I’m old
I’ve never fired a gun but I’ve held bullets before
I’ve never held a trigger but I could pull it I’m sure
at school we learned history and stories weren’t straight
we learnt about the british, nineteen fourty eight
how my people were torn from streets and forced to flee
to neighbouring countries where we were taught to be
compliant, while they lived in debauchery
and they built the wall, while they stared down their sights
of sniper rifles which left us scared for our life
we went the UN but they didn’t even care for our fight
the resolutions meant nothing in the glare of their might
so we turned to extremists in despair for our plight
see your hollywood movies are rated eighteen
for the violence they portray when your facing the screen
but I was twelve, when a rocket first tore through my home
I saw blood, I saw bodies, I saw shoes on the road
with no feet to fit them I was confused and alone
and this is no exaggeration, in fact its understated
the figures speak for pages but the media undeplayed it
that ‘09 was a war crime to the highest degree
they use terror as a weapon so when they fire we flee
we are murdered in the hundreds it’s no wonder we stress
when suicide kills more in IDF
and we write our manifesto’s then we send them to you
the free of other nations just to tell them the truth
that we talk of just peace and we fight just to earn
our freedom and justice and right of return
so when you boycott and divest no change your’e changin the norm
like the quakers who emancipated the slaves from the dorms
alone we are nothing but together we dream
of a home for everyone wouldn’t it be better to be
in a world of mutual exchange and not indebted but free
but as the media regurgitates the factual guise
its harder for our ideals to actualise
and the practical flies out with the retractable lies
I hear stories of snipers who have taken out two
kids the same age as me left me shaken and blue
they were dead in less than a second dressed in the lead
7mm pierced the chest and the head
so tell me how are you failing to see
that was sows the seeds for this hatred to breed
that for the youth with no family no hope and no home
the guns provide us support so we can cope on our own
and we never forget the enlisted who would fall
in death we write the names of the victims on the wall
and know that their souls were lifted for the cause
I am unique in my essence no one is likened to me
like a phoenix from slumber I rise in the heat
and fulfill my ambition as I strike in the street
at the heart of oppression which has frightened the free
god is great, god is great is what I should to the tank
in my final moments if I’m allowed to be frank
for all of the hatred you instilled in my being
I forgive you it was not your will to be in
we all make choices, do not choose who to be
we choose how to act on whose to please
I am unique in my essence no one is likened to me
like a phoenix from slumber I rise in the heat
then fall back to ashes as I die in the street
as I die in the street
I fall back to ashes as I die in the street

FORTUNATE

Turn it down a little bit in the headphones…
Bless, bless, bless…
Shout out to Defunkt on the scratches.

Verse 1:

Yeh we’re real fortunate,
disproportionate to poor kids forced to live on floors
divorced from the discourse of equality
fortunate, debaucherous folk who flaunt ornaments
play bourse on the quart and outsource to the less fortunate
fortunate
forced to get taught caught on the court
by police forces sworn to the law who love enforcing it
subordinates to courts with no moral coordinates
I’m forced to be living in this sin city missing the mark
where these kids are getting pissed in the park
and if their not making the shots their throwing fists in the dark
getting tarred with false charges enlisted to Iraq
and trust
I used to get it twisted, dreams of flipping bricks through the bars
or getting licked out on the strip in the biggest whip with the stars
but integrity is wealth so trust that I’m getting rich through the bars
making fortunes off pure tunes we spit from the heart
making fortunes off pure tunes we spit from the heart

Verse 2:

I keep my style free only, like I’m talking off the melon
to the state I’m a felon no debate I’m rebellin in this system
where your melanin determines where you settle in
home, work, they’re telling him homework’ll get him in
selling him the myth that the devil in the bits
is those peddling the piff who love to revel in a tiff
I see the devil in the rich I keep it rebel with a spliff
speak it, I always yell it like I tell how it is
teachers, saw my streak and thats detention for a week
class war so to speak apprehension of the theives
state pensions for the greedy still their mentioning their grief
look, take a second if you need it
this life can be a needle to your spleen
it’s like we’re fiending we’re bulimic
throwing up bad spirits like we’re feedin off of demons
heeding nothing from the elders
while they’re screaming that we need it
we keep building, building, we’re heading for the skies
or we’re filling up the green yeh we’re headed for demise
and know that the sun’s always setting where it rise
everythings full circle either get it or you die
spend a life time and never really get to realise
that the material desire is the fire in your eyes
material desire, fire in your eyes.

Verse 3:

What does it mean to be fortunate
counting what we’re keepin in the physcial
the pinnacle of life is only found in the subliminal
searching for meanings when being people is the miracle
stuck in this cold city where were raised on these screens
the demons feed the greed so were raised on these dreams
deceit to new degrees, who read the news believes
that hate is on the rise, the proof is in the pudding
It’s baked into the pie the demise of false I’s is the fate of our kind
so,
we’re all real fortunate to breathe is a blessing itself
and choosing health over money is a lesson in wealth
stressing life is just revision for a test in the self
every book is a moment, the present, the rest of the shelf
and you ain’t gotta be fortunate
trust, just gotta tune into the rhythm of life
choose to leave all the pollution be delivered from strife
thats, the only way to be a liver of life
trust, thats the only way to be a liver of life

THINK ABOUT IT

Verse 1:

Count your blessings as you see em
whats the essence of your being?
these question leave me guessing
is this a test or am I dreaming
I’m parading through these streets
scheming to exercise these demons
I’ma exercise my freedom, fuck a state we don’t need em
look it’s simple programming, fear the man who holds cannons
shit is so unbalanced, yeh we’re blinded by anxiety
society is censoring our higher needs
cooperation is the key, our nature’s to survive
it begins with how you see when all your seeing is the grind
we miss our family tree, bees birds and all the seeds
signs of these dark times, it’s famine and disease
remain cursed on our knees
degrees of separation got us worshipping the greed
like it ain’t worth it to believe
we deserve a better world
instead we purchase like we need
but we want and thats the difference
need to purge all this deceit
I plant seeds of evolution
revolutions what we need

Hook:

So think about it we can rise together
live our lives to the fullest and survive the weather
open our eyes to false I’s and we can prise the tether
just think about it and rise together

Verse 2:

This is way beyond mind, every mind is a sign to the divine
every line that I design is aligned to the sublime
every time that I rhyme I’m writing for the crime ridden mile
where the child’s just surviving on a grind
she’s alive in a world full of surprises
living in a crisis pays for our ISA’s
no slice of the pie but smiles with Christs eyes
it’s deep
I heard the city breathe in its sleep
a reality I touch but for me it’s hard to keep
quoting mos on the beat keeps my cipher complete
see we broadcasting bulletins b, to the buddhas to be
to the bruddas in the benz’s bringing bullets to beef
police on the street pulling the heat
on peacemakers tryna pull in the peace
I’m tryna fulfil prophecy
but keep my pocket still full of the p’s
I’m still full of degrees of obscenities
that keep me still full of the greed
I take a pull of the weed and meditate
on how to pull all of the wool off the dream
meditate on how to pull all of the wool off the dream

Hook:

So think about it we can rise together
live our lives to the fullest and survive the weather

Yo, big up Gurps on production.

Verse 1:

Green seas, open breeze palm trees and a beach
we all got dreams, some seem to be pleased with their niche
others chase p’s, squeeze for the cream
they roll strapped, low jeans and a piece
some only bust shots to the fiends on the streets
keep trusting each other we don’t need the police
govern your own mind lay the demons to peace
become freed human beings with no need to believe
in the seeds a deceit the people need peace
on these cold streets, where police roll deep and cold creep on my homies
and if there ain’t no justice there ain’t no peace that’s the code g
I watch the rat race
I watch these rats chase cheese up in the lab maze
look, they say you won’t affect a change
I ain’t tryna get appraisal
put my letters to the page
dreaming of better ways
we can rise up, prise up the door from the bottom
liberate all of the poor and forgotten

Hook:

Verse 2:

I watch the kids on the curb tryna earn a rep
I dream of days when the words how we spurn respect
we chase paper, soon seems to turn to debt
common neglect slept on look how the earth is kept
under the rug, coz that’s where the hurt is swept
and I can feel the light I, see the bright skies rise over the night time
that’s why I write rhyme strive to ignite minds
and yo, sometimes my mind is a prison
when I grind full time tryna find me a living
that’s why crime is a given
in a system designed to malign our wisdom
and trust that no line is a gimmick
every line that I write is a timeless epic
so you’ll find my essence in designless presence
never ending joy, like a timeless present
and I might drop the ball for a minute
fall off course for a minute
I might be forced to admit it
but I follow my heart that the path of a spirit
who, uses lyrics to impart the implict
every bar this is art this ain’t particle physics
listen to my heart beat
and know that
your breath is a part of the rhythm
your breath is a part of the rhythm

Yeah, you all know the history, yo, yo, yo

Verse 1:

I seek solace in the truth
spitting knowledge to the youts
pay homage in the booth
I’m tryna walk an honest route
I told the honour I refuse to plead guilty
stick me? strictly on a political charge
cuff me in the physical they got the villains in charge
parliament and wall st thats where the criminals are
us hard working folks are just putting the linen in yards
stuck in this city living within the subliminal arts
can told a cold heart harder gettin clinical
half my time, is spenting grafting coz its critical
the other half is spent draftin them original bars
I’m living minimal, even keepin the syllables hard
I walk a spiritual path
filling l’s always, but it’s cool coz we bill it with love
I’m tryna talk to my brothers tryna walk with my sisters
tryna learn from her, were tryna turn from sin
and turn the burner in
and tryna yearn for them riches that you earn within
alternative coz, when serving others you deserve to grin
I light the mersh to digest all this surface shit
coz thai sticks keep a brother from a nervous skit
we churn kids into stewards from the earth abyss
this ain’t a curse it’s a blessing to reverse the script
this ain’t a curse it’s a blessing to reverse the script

Hook:

So learn the history if you wanna have a future to live in
the present is a gift but trust it isn’t given
we seize the day the moment to the minute
we seize the day the moment to the minute
X 2

Verse 2:

Said it’s aimless the way that we chase for the paper
shameless the way that we crave for the famous
forsaken the way, so we remain chained
insane and enslaved it’s deranged that we play this
game full of snakes, rat races and jakes
while the faceless names remain nameless faces
decay in places where the stainless reigns
see since fourteen I was raised to believe
that climbing the ladder is chasing the dream
I’m working for pennies not making a scene
If we’re milking the cows they’re taking the cream
tell me how can we fight fair?
stuck in a system wrought with disease
nurtures the weeds but can’t water the trees
turns out the seeds have all caught the disease
caught on with the greed flex walk with me please
please, walk with me please
and I’ll show you what we’re taught to believe
taught to achieve nothing less than a doctorate
or end up on the floor, on your knees
slaving to the system, late forties
so, quote this, I quote from the quoteless
notice, I roll with the hopeless
coz hope is born of the fear, all tendencies a the beast
I walk with an angel, fend for the streets
so, when I put pen to the beat
it’s her speaking you’re meant to believe
It’s her speaking you’re meant to believe

Hook:

So learn the history if you wanna have a future to live in
